Material Information:

  • Fabric: Fabric is a versatile material made from weaving, knitting, stitching, or bonding fibers. These fibers can be natural, such as cotton, wool, or silk, or synthetic, like polyester or nylon. The weaving of the fibers creates a network that gives the fabric its properties, such as strength, softness, breathability, and elasticity. There are countless varieties of fabrics, each with its unique characteristics and uses.
  • MDF: Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is a wood derivative. It is produced by using resins (glues) to bond wood fibers, which are then compressed with special heated presses. It is denser than chipboard and resistant to wear. Also, it does not absorb moisture.
  • Melamine: Low-pressure melamine (LPB) is a synthetic material widely used in the surface treatment of chipboard in furniture and surface manufacturing due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.

Maintenance Instructions:

  • Fabric: Fabric maintenance depends on various factors such as fiber type, fabric construction, and usage. Use a mild detergent suitable for the fabric type. Avoid using bleach or whiteners, as they can damage the fibers.
  • MDF: For cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, dry the surface well with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from humidity. Wipe away any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals as they may damage the MDF.
  • Melamine: To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from water.
